Why not launch our money blog with a quick article about why we are writing about money? While we know money isn’t everything and that it can’t buy you happiness, it sure comes in a close second. On the reverse side, look at all of the problems caused by not having money. Many marriages are in shambles because of different spending habits of spouses and many people lose sleep at night wondering where they are going to come up with money for everyday expenses. Let’s just say that having “enough” money to not have to worry about small things is likely one of every person’s goals.
With that said, there are hundreds and even thousands of ways that you can work toward this goal of having “enough” money. While changing the amount of money you have coming in (income) is very possible, the fastest and most effective way toward money is by lowering your expenses. A great way to get started with this process is by making your own household budget so that you can really understand and quantify your income and expenses. Once you know where you stand financially, you can target expenses line item by line item to improve your financial position.
We’ll be adding articles relating to saving money, budgeting, making more money, and even some stock market commentary from time to time.

Great article! I also agree money runs a close second in happiness and maybe a first for survival. My marriage didn’t end because of money issues. My husband at the time controlled the finances. But the aftermath was money or lack of money driven. Leaving me in debt trying to dig my way out. The most important tip or advice I can give above or beyond anything else is, know your own finances and control your money.
