The Secret To Getting Into Local Or International Family Attractions For Free Or Dirt Cheap

by on May 2, 2012

Think about the last time you went to a theme park. You pay one fee for entry and generally all the rides are free after that. Many local attractions use the same method, but rather than getting everything for free in that attraction, you get other attractions for free. For example, when you sign up for one museum, you typically get free or cheap entry into any other local museum.

Begin by calling and checking with the local children’s museum if there is one and discover what packages they offer that will allow you to get into other attractions for free or at a discount price. In addition, you can also check your local library. It is common that when you become a member there that you will get free entry into local museums and other attractions.

When you begin your research of local attractions, you will also discover that the majority of them are already free. Many smaller attractions only ask for donations and are open to the public. Another faction of the town that provides free entertainment and attractions is your local College or University. Visit the local Colleges or Universities websites and see what museums, events and other attractions they offer for free. The most common is a free art museum that will contain student masterpieces. In addition, if you are a student, you will likely be given discounts to even more local attractions.

Throughout your new discoveries, you may also find attractions at a large discount. Take advantage of family specials, student discounts and the fact kids usually get in for free. In addition to getting discounts directly from the attraction you want to go to, you can also do a search for online discounts.

Many attractions now offer 10% off or some type of coupon simply for “liking” them on Facebook. You can find other extreme discounts by visiting websites such as Groupon, LivingSocial and FamilyFinds.

Above all, the most fun and free attraction is an outing that you take and make as fun as a fair. You can start by searching for small parks and gardens in your local community. Then again, why stay local? Almost every major international city offers a city pass that lowers the amount of the money you would normally spend to half the price, often with incentives for other events and attractions that are completely free.

If you are looking to go to a special, historic or child museum, an art exhibit, or to another particular attraction, all it takes is a bit of research and possibly a phone call or two to either get a pass to an attraction at an all time low price or even better, completely free. By utilizing the local attractions you have available to you in combination with discounts found online, you will be able to spend time at a local or national attraction week after week without worrying about the amount it will cost you.
